RESEARCH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR A CLINICAL TRIAL RELATED TO LUNG CHANGES AND SMOKING

Dr. Mark Brantly at the University of Florida Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Division is conducting a research project on lung changes in smokers and non-smokers.

Participants must be:
  • age 35 or older and in generally good health

  • be willing to make two clinical visits, including an overnight stay, to Shands Hospital during their participation in the research

  • be willing to participate in a bronchoscopy procedure (inserting a lighted tube into the lungs to visualize lung changes) once during the study

  • Participants will be compensated $300 for completion of the study.
